Wow, ok, BEWARE, macOS users -
I take notes on a bunch of stuff, usually in TextMate. After a note has grown in size and significance, I will make a small avi for the icon, and then drag the TextMate (.txt
) file to my Dock on macOS.
Now, once it is in the Dock, if one decides to remove (delete) it from the initial location, it has to stay in the Dock. If you “Remove From Dock”, that note auto-deletes. No “Trash”, no defaulting back to the old location, nowhere to be found in the Spotlight Search on the computer – off into oblivion like mist in the wind.
Fxxx, I had a lot of stuff written there :(
Re-taking notes now :(
