Hello World
After it recently came out that Wordpress is running websites for the new presidential administration, I could not in good conscience continue paying them money. This, combined with my recent “feducation” (read: I finally kinda sorta figured out the Fediverse) led me here.
So this is my new blog, same as the old blog, but federated! My hope is that I can be a gap between lay folks (myself) and those tech-savvy heroes who are paving a bright future online for us in the federated space.
The internet used to be cool. That changed as we centralized, gathered people into silos,People are making it cool again, through federation, the “indienet” (think Neocities), and actual websites, which at this point feel like relics of a bygone age.
Anyway. This is a post to try thing out, just like running “Hello World”. Hello, Fediverse.
