YIKES!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared…I probably don’t have to tell you how busy I’ve been. Sitting down to close my workweek, this picture popped up on my phone and really put some things in perspective—we’re all just like fish swimming from one thing to the next. We don’t know why we’re swimming but we know it must be important. But, maybe, we just need to slow down and move more like a koi fish instead of marlin.
This weekend, I’m looking forward to reading about:
- how “society often teaches mean to be wildly overconfident, even when that belief is absolutely misguided.”;
- the massive issue with our built society and the noise associated with its expansion. It’s having noticeable impacts on our brain and it impacts those already marginalized the greatest;
- the academic case for using ‘zines; and
- The restaurant at the end of the universe…Douglas Adams’s sequel to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Gallaxy. It starts: “In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.” I think he was on to something.
Until the next time.
