Reprieve came last week in the form of a spring break. Unlike the swarms of students flocking to tropical destinations or heading home, our home became empty. Living near a college campus has its ups and downs…but the best is when there is a holiday. Streets are empty. It’s respite.
We took to exploring the empty spaces and finding what has been forgotten.
I took this week’s photo on a walk on March 13 in Denton, TX. It’s amazing what beauty you can find when you look just past the decay.
This weekend has new thinking even more existentially than normal. Here’s what I’m reading:
- 90s culture is coming back—do you remember how to keep it steazy?
- Find it hard to take a break? So do I
- I read this a while ago and still don’t think I agree…but it certainly does provide a view that isn’t often discussed with nuance.
- Punk rock is finally finding space in education—Why not?
- Also, fuck these guys.
Until the next time.
