We’ve made it to the end of September and the last day of my 35th trip around the sun. I will be celebrating tipping over the halfway point to 40 by giving my first TED talk.
You can watch my talk and others today at 1 pm CST, at tedxunt.org.
Here’s what I’m reading this weekend:
- I guess microbreaks are a thing. Maybe, we should just take breaks.
- Maybe we should all give tea a try in pursuit of relaxation. This article is going to need to be very persuasive if I’m to give up coffee.
- Smart people aren’t happier, supposedly. This semi-long read gets into why that might not be so and how our inability to measure “intelligence” makes misinterpretations of these phenomena fairly common.
- At the heart of the “work-from-home debate” is, are workers productive? Apparently, employers only care that you look busy and it’s wasting everyone’s time.
Until the next time.
