Today is the beginning of a journey that's been going on for at least 12 years. That last sentence would seem to not make any sense, but it is true.
In 2014 I wrote a 10,000 word document in Scrivener. That document was the first “chapter,” for an entirely lack of worse terms, in the saga of a young man in Salinas, CA trying to get to Mobile, AL in a Peterbilt and having the disruption of a young lady running for her life. Eight years ago is when I wrote those 10,000 words and they've been on my mind ever since.
After recently reviewing those words, you may ask do I like those words? No. Not all of them. Some of them.
It is my goal to like those words. I lived those words. It's time to write those words.
