We all have stories, these are mine. I tell them with a heart full of love and through eyes of kindness.

The Shape of Her

Effervescence

There’s a presence I carry—
like a scent in a room I’ve just left,
or a song that never quite stops playing.

She’s not here.
But she was.
And somehow, still is.

There’s no name for what she became in me.
Not lover. Not memory. Not Lust.
Not muse—well, not only muse.
Something more elusive.
More permanent.

She used to speak in the softest syllables—
not words, really,
but the shape that love takes
when it tries not to wreck a life.

I learned the geography of that silence.
How to hear what wasn’t said.
How to feel her in pauses,
in playlists,
in moonlight.

She gave nothing and everything.
And now I return
to these quiet hours,
hoping she’s out there somewhere
still reading me
the way I always read her.

Not for meaning,
but for presence.
