Tire shop purgatory

where rubber meets the liminal road
Waiting Room – An Essay on Being Stuck
Hell is a sad circle,
When I most need it whole.
Heaven’s easily forgotten —
The little things that feed the soul.
In between, the tire shop:
Crackle, snap, and hiss.
And we are all here stuck,
Over our small fires — prayer and wish.
