Unhinged

Passion found in a bureau drawer
Wild Nights – Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!
— Emily Dickinson
I wonder who she wrote this about. A lot of her poems are filled with passion and longing. Want unfulfilled.
I need to read more about Emily Dickinson. Her poems are simply fabulous and from what I currently understand, she never shared them with anyone. How terrific is that? Imagine writing day after day knowing no one would ever read what you wrote, or care? You probably do know what I mean, dear reader.
Going to give A Quiet Passion a watch and pop down to the library to see if I can garner a decent biography on the poet.
For now, hope you enjoy this splendid little find. I rediscovered it flipping through a sketchbook.
