Valentine's day

Valentine’s Day has become an international celebration of love and friendship among young people and adults.
With the history behind this yearly celebration, companies have taken advantage of the misconceptions among young people to market and sell more products on this day by either running sales on items and services or rebranding the same products with the notion of a different product.
Anyway, there’s been quite a number of fashion-focused images attached to the new societal norm (red roses) themed with everything red and beautiful circulating on the internet. And we are here to admire or shade it all. Some are tacky, and others are numéro uno but who are we to judge?
Here are a few of our favorite looks and styles from this year’s Valentine’s Day

Top on the list is Magbrien Styles serving us sizzling hot and spicy red looks from her Valentine’s collection

Also have Gray Raiment’s @_graiment electric red undertone metallic collection serving us with a bit of style, sexiness, and fabulously chic.

Zeebah signature’s regal red gown worn by famous hairstylist Miss Wanneka will take your breath away… what a great way to celebrate love!!!!

Homemade fashion and high-end accessories. I recently suggested that for very unique clothing you stick to Ghanaian fashion designers, some of them are definitely as good as anything you will find worldwide, and at one-tenth of the price, though they are not as famous. But do you want to be unique or do you want to follow the crowd? Because of my job, I travel a bit, but I am now tired of shopping in the big international shopping Malls which are dominated by the big brands, all showing the same thing, whether you are in Dakar, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Nairobi or Singapore. No, for uniqueness I now scout locally, also for accessories. Ghana sells good fake Rolex watches and other brands, at a fair price, and because of their popularity, you will not impress me again with any of these. And entering Europe you run the risk of confiscation if customs finds out it's a fake, with all the embarrassing travel delays. They are quite fanatic about this now, trying to protect their money-earning brands (see next article as well). But I don’t need a fake Rolex, we now have our own original Caveman Watches here in Ghana, and since Valentine's day, I am the proud owner of one. With my name on it and a little heart at the end of the second hand. For a little extra these watches can be personalized and truly be 100% unique. I suggest you don’t ask Rolex to do that for you.
Mr. Anthony Mensah started
Caveman Watches a little over 4 years ago and is now expanding into Africa. Ayeekoo. Prices are very reasonable for their uniqueness.

Go with the times. Previously (blog No. 10) I talked about NFTs, non-fungible tokens, being electronic artworks with ownership attached. Of course, as always, the law follows events and technology, not creates them, so is always a step behind the reality on the ground, and NFT is no exception, there is little legal clarity in this area. So someone created an NFT of the famous Hermès Birkin bag, and Hermès sued in a USA court and won on trademark infringement. So, if you plan to buy an NFT, make sure it is not an illegal copy of something, or the law will duly deal with you. The Birkin bag has a starting price of about 9000 $, the top models go for 30,000 $, all handmade, of course, a Hermès signature. Hermès is a French luxury brand with a turnover of about 9 billion dollars, in fact, it is the most valuable luxury brand in the world. They became famous for leather traveling bags and suitcases, but today also deal in perfumes, jewelry, watches, and more. It was established in 1837 in Paris.

Supplements. Of late I felt a bit less than 100 %, maybe the X mass holidays and a bit too much of everything and a bit too much of trying to get rid of it all again. So, I asked my doctor to recommend a supplement worth its money, some of these supplements really are rip-offs, though they look impressive. Nice packaging and specific supplements for specific situations like fatigue, post chirurgical interventions, travel, pre-menstrual, stress, exams, weight loss, antioxidants, fibre, fibroid, you mention it and there is a supplement. The one I particularly like is the one which you put in water and it makes bubbles and tastes sweet and sour. The doctor looked intensely at me and shook his head, from left to right. No No No. Not some supplements are a rip-off, all supplements are a rip-off, except maybe iron against anemia. Not only that, some increase the chance of breaking bones or can cause tumors and some may interfere with the medication you are taking. So, read up on it before you waste your money and maybe make things worse, study a bit about foods high in vitamins and minerals, and eat as varied as you can. Ah, but after all supplements are good for one thing, the pocket of the pharmacist and the manufacturer.
