How to Setup your iPhone (iOS 15.2.1) Safari For Best Privacy & Security

In this blog, I will show you how to protect your safari browsing and internet activity sense apple won’t let you uninstall safari. Safari has a option in the settings where you can use extensions and it’s pretty neat, But you can only choose between the tracking search engines, Except of course the only is duckduckgo, But duckduckgo is trash and have worst search indexes. So i will show you how to get something way better and to still use safari with best settings to stay private…

Safari (iPhone Settings):

  1. Go to “Allow Safari to Access” and turn off everything.

  2. Go to “Search” category, And choose google. (This is fine, Just keep reading.)

  3. Turn off “Search Engine Sessions”.

  4. Turn off “Safari Suggestions”.

  5. Turn off “Quick Website Search”.

  6. Turn off “Proload Top Hit”.

  7. Scroll down to “General”.

  8. Go to “Autofill”, And turn off everything.

  9. Skip “Favorites”, As you can’t do anything with that.

  10. Turn on “Block Pop-ups”.

  11. For the extensions (Might need to pay 1-2$, But it’s worth it): Download xSearch for Safari – Switch search engine instantly

  12. Go to “Downloads”, And set to iCloud Drive. (For photos, Use Filen.io or Mega.nz)

  13. Scroll down to “Tabs”.

  14. Select “Single Tab” to put the url box up top.

  15. Turn on “Landscape Tab Bar”.

  16. Turn off “Allow Website Tinting”.

  17. Select “Open Links In New Tab”.

  18. Select “Close Tabs Manually”.

  19. Scroll down to “Privacy & Security”.

  20. Turn on “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking”.

  21. If you have iCloud+ (Private Relay), Select “Hide IP Address, And choose Trackers & Websites”.

  22. Turn off “Block All Cookies”. (Breaks alot of websites)

  23. Turn on “Fraudulent Website Warning”. (You can turn this off if you want.)

  24. Turn off “Privacy Preserving Ad Measurement”.

  25. Turn off “Check for Apple Pay”.

  26. Scroll down to “Clear History and Website Data”, And wipe all your data to start fresh with the new privacy search engine.

  27. Scroll down to “Settings For Websites”.

  28. Select “Page Zoom”, And leave it as default.

  29. Select “Request Desktop Website”, And turn it off.

  30. Select “Reader”, And turn it off.

  31. Select “Content Blockers”, And turn it on for all Websites.

  32. Select “Camera”, And turn it off.

  33. Select “Microphone”, And turn it off.

  34. Select “Location”, And turn it off.

  35. Scroll down to “Reading List”.

  36. Turn off “Automatically Save Offline”.
