My dad's back yard has become a deer camp. Now we are making it cool.

cure in the shade

Along a barbed wire fence, an ad hoc rack made of a ladder from an above ground pool along with some scrap lumber and iron; on the rack are lots of long bamboo poles, curing.

My dad mentioned that I probably want to move my bamboo poles out of the sunny spot on the lumber rack. He says with too much sun, they can split. Not only do they become useless, but insects move in.

I got started moving them to the place along the fence where the previous poles were, but then I had to stop because it was time to go to work. My dad not only finished the task but cobbled together a nice rack for them. The previous poles had just been hung on that iron bar with some twisted wire.
