Things occupying my time:

Woodworking – I'm building a screen / cover for the kiva-style fireplace in our master bedroom. Because it's curved, and because I have a post-surgery ten-pound lifting restriction, this is taking much longer than I had initially hoped.
Woodworking – I've started working on a Jimmy Possum chair, and have all the sticks rough-turned and the seat slab selected. First chair I've build, so it's taking a while, too.
Computers – I’ve decided I need a new cyberdeck, and am building one, based on a Raspberry Pi5, a Keyboardio Atreus keyboard, and a 1920x480 display, which will hopefully all shoehorn into a Model 100-esque case.
Leaving Apple – Between iOS/macOS 26 and Tim Cook fawning over the Orange Rapist, I've had it with Apple. I've bought an MNT Pocket Reform, and an Asus Chromebook CM14 Flip to possibly replace my MacBook Air M2 (though I'll probably keep that, and have it running OpenBSD), a FydeTab Duo to replace my iPad, and have started looking at a Murena FairPhone 6 to replace my iPhone 16 Pro. Big project, lots of moving parts. Many people want me to document this, so I'm trying to take notes along the way, but I also want to finish the damned project in 2026, so I will fall behind on the documentation along the way.
Web stuff – I have 20 years of stuff “to get to later” stored in iCloud, and in order to shut off my iCloud account, I'm trying to get a lot of that dealt with now. This includes a lot of recipes I'm moving to write.as, some woodworking projects I wrote up, but never posted, and looking for a solution other than write.as for most of my writing. I've got until fall 2030 before my subscription at write.as expires, but I'm getting tired of the lack of feature development or bug-fixes, and thinking that I need to find a better web-host, even if I have to write the damn thing myself.
Metal-working – I made my own damned screws over Christmas, because the local hardware store didn't carry the size I needed. Doing that pointed out to me that I need a small area in the shop dedicated to metal-working so I don't get metal filings in the woodworking area.

Note that I've never had a “now” page before, and I'm really not sure if I'll manage to keep it updated, but I've updated it at least once, so there's hope. Guess we'll see...
