Daddy-traps
Toys and books scattered
Daddy-traps across the floor
Pause (the menace sleeps)
Another haiku! This one composed in the shower in the pause while my baby daughter naps. We, her loving parents, catch our breath. The Canadian on her tablet, child strewn across her. Me with a cup of coffee typing this out. The hypnotic sound of the laundry tumbling re-usable nappies around and around in the background. The sun is shining, blue sky fighting the clouds for real estate on this cool Easter Monday in Wales.
These quiet pauses are precious... but so too are the noisy scatterings of toys across the floor that need to be stepped around!
